Prof Drnec has been an inspiration during the year. We really enjoy the class. It is very broad and so interesting

This professor is great! She is very interested in her students and is engaging. She is a tough but fair grader.

The most boring class I have taken at Maryland. Stricklin is unorganized, and skipped our class 3 times but expected us to carry on and present and discuss without him. He didn't know a single student's name in our 18 person class. When he did show up he rambled and name dropped random animal ethology scientists, talking in extreme detail about things that were barely related to the class. There was no need to do any of the readings because there was no discussion, he just rambled for 75 minutes straight every class. The only reason I didn't drop this class is because there were only 3 assignments and he barely graded them so it was an easy A.

Great class, very easy, with lots of discussion. Is a great idea if you are into philosophy, but as someone with not much experience in cognitive ethology, it was a good class, and was very informal. Very little work involved, beyond presenting an article, a debate, and a paper, all of which are graded pretty leniently. The professor was very knowledgeable, and Kim his TA was a dear as well. Great class that gets you thinking without being much work.
