He is a great professor who is extremely knowledgeable about the course material. The discussions are engaging. Some of the things we discussed about were: crime, the justice system, adults and juveniles in prisons and jails, inmates with disabilities, involuntary distribution of medicine, and much more. We read 5 interesting books - 1 every 2 weeks. There were only 2 reaction papers (about 1-2 pages each), and a 10-12 page position paper about a topic of your choice that is relevant to the class. The midterm was very easy - just some terms to define and several short answer opinion questions. Also, we took a trip to a correctional facility. Overall, I highly recommend this class if you are interested in criminal justice. It is an easy and interesting SB/D CORE and honors seminar course.

This is by far the easiest honors seminar you can take. There were maybe 4 1-2 page reaction papers and the midterm was all opinion questions. No need to study... and the books are really good (except mismeasure of man...but i didn't read that one). One thing...the final is a 15 page paper. But, he is an incredibly easy grader.
