Course is relatively easy. The prof is very chill and supportive. You can make project as easy or complicated as you want - good for resume building or an easy A to graduate. |

Cloud computing is really some info student should learn about. I would be very specific about from where to learn. Take AWS CLFCO2 but not this class especially from this Guy. He goes over the stuff like a professor is talking to himself |

One of the best professors at the info school. He genuinely cares about his students and makes an effort to give everyone individual attention. His classes are well-structured and easy to follow. Although the scheduled lecture time is long, if you put a bit of effort, you'll often finish early. Highly recommend! |

Concepts are super simple and similar to AWS entry-level certs. The professor seems horrible. Tough to understand his speaking |

Professor Frezzo is one of my favorite professors at UMD. He is incredibly supportive and wants his students to succeed. If you are interested in pursuing a career in IT, he is a great person to ask for advice. INST347 is a relatively new course at UMD so it did feel a little unorganized at times, but as someone that wanted to learn more about cloud and virtualization, I found it to be a valuable course. I did wish it leaned more into obtaining a certification but not every student is interested in that. I would have liked to have had more labs during the class as well. Frezzo is very easy on grading so even if you are not well-versed in the topic, you will probably still finish with a good grade. The final project sucked to work on, but that was because of hardware issues related to the Arduino board. I hope that in the future the final is hosted on a more stable platform so we can focus more on cloud implementation rather than troubleshooting hardware/connection issues. |
