Dr. Suriano is a PGOM (precious gem of a man)!!! You can tell he genuinely cares about the course material and finds it fascinating to talk about. He wants his students to learn to like the material and also find it interesting. There was a total of 3 major assignments for the whole course, which were pretty easy. He also recommends you get the required reading for the class, which I did, but then ended up returning it because I did not think it was necessary. He does not care too much about giving homework/assignments (which is why there are so few), but he does care about making the class engaging and people participating. If you participate once in each class period he will like you. Overall I would recommend this class as it is an easy A that fulfills a Humanities GenEd. |

Prof. Suriano made this class interesting and fun at the same time, while still teaching us a lot. I didn't feel like I needed the textbooks very often, but I enjoyed coming to class every day and learning, which is rare for a gen-ed. |
