Honestly, very cool topic and the approach is interesting. Readings might be a little tough but as long as you take good notes and attend classes, the exams will be a breeze. Stay on track with your paper, TA's and prof are super helpful if you ever get stuck! You definitely don't need anything going into the class but keep an open mind and you'll learn tons!

Goated. Simply goated. Class is interesting and engaging, he is very passionate about his work, the readings aren't too hard, the exams are online, and as a person he is very understanding. Also funny sometimes. The paper will be the hardest.

Dr. Suriano is a cool guy. Class is the easiest A ever. You don't even have to go to lecture, only discussion. Exams are taken home and online. You can just skim the readings before lectures.

Professor Suriano is one of the most passionate professors I have met. He is extremely knowledgeable and enjoys teaching the course. The class is very easy and passable even if you have no prior knowledge on Jerusalem. Lecture and discussion are mandatory. There are weekly quizzes, a midterm, and a final, which are all online, multiple-choice, and open-note. He also assigns a 6-8 page final paper which isn't too bad. Overall it's a decently easy class and very interesting. I highly recommend taking this class for a gen-ed.

Amazing gen-ed class. Lectures were optional, exams were online, just one six page final paper and you're done. You do have to go to discussion tho Take it trust me
