This guy is an absolute joke. He is obsessed with trying to have power as a professor and makes his student's lives as miserable as possible. Hey bud, you do realize I pay for this class and if I have to go to the bathroom during class keep the condescending remarks to yourself. Yes I am going to drink this Celsius in your class because it is noon and you're the 3rd out of 5 classes that I have today. He has zero regard for students wellbeing and literally has a kink for having control over a class room. If he was teaching a lower level class with nervous freshmen he sadly would get away with this attitude and horrific behavior. I'm 22 years old and already accepted to Grad school, I just need an upper level elective class to graduate and I am more than happy to do the work but that is not the issue here. I have had a plethora of piss poor professors but this guy takes the cake as one of the worst people I have ever met let alone worst professors. DO NOT TAKE THIS SHMUCKS CLASS!!!!!!! |

Don’t take this class it’s just not worth it. Everyone else that has rated him 1 star is telling the truth. |

I took this class because I was looking to go into Sports Management and was excited about the content. Yet this class is structured poorly and the teaching is poor. There are four pop quizzes, a midterm-finale, and a finale project. With minimal grades, it is hard to boost your grade if you do not do well on the midterm or the pop quizzes. The midterm is also structured and confusing with one question being asked about 5 times by students during the exam where he had to explain how to answer it (which still did not help). He also does not give slides out and is super strict in class, asking us not to get up to use the bathroom, and if we do he normally always says something rude. It seems like he has no sympathy for students as when we have questions he will normally answer them back handly and was rude to a few students throughout the semester. Overall Dr. McDaniel does care about what he is teaching and has the knowledge, yet he lacks the teaching and communication skills. I would recommend this course to no one, even if you are looking to go into some type of Sports management, I would look at a different route. |

If it were possible to give 0 stars I would. In fact I tried. I was really disappointed throughout this course. Dr. McDaniel is rude, condescending and unhelpful. Multiple people from our class have gone to the department. And 4 or so have withdrawn completely. Let me remind you that this is a class of only roughly 12? I would not recommend taking this course or the professor. In my 4 years here I have never made a complaint about a professor. And did not plan on it. But here we are. Take this course if you enjoy: rude remarks, uncomfortable class settings, 0 direction, 0 feedback, etc. |

Worst class I've ever taken. This professor is very rude and enjoys giving out bad grades. He will not care to fail you. The information he gives is equivalent to about 3 classes in one and gives out exams that are 90% essay questions along with fill in the blank. He does not post lecture content online because he wants it to "force us to make it to class" which is ridiculous. He is very strict, doesn't answer emails, and has a lot of weird and annoying rules. No phones during class, they must be put away. No drinks, no food, and no hats during exams. He was the first professor I've ever had in 4 years to make the class bring their ID's on test day and he went around verifying them. When students ask questions, he responds with the most condescending comments. Do not take this this class. I repeat, do not. Save your GPA. |

Personally, Dr.Mcdaniel has a very old-minded teaching style. He expects everyone to remember the notes off of his 75 slides per lecture. He does not post any of his notes so you only get to see everything once. He is also rather mean and does not really care for his students' success. On top of that your grade is only based on 2 quizzes, 2 exams, and a final project. The 2 quizzes are only worth 10 points and the final project is only worth 40 points, so you're grade is dependent on how you do on his exams. EXAMS are very HARD!!! |

Sounds like it would be fun but turned out to be one of the hardest classes. McDaniel has no problem failing people and is actually quite mean. Plus there are just mass amounts of information to study, making the exams difficult. |
