Alexis Lothian LGBT398F Expecting an A Anonymous 12/30/2025	This class was so engaging. I loved our discussions, and I loved the projects she assigned. A lot of reading - it's possible to get by with just skimming, but so many of the readings were so interesting and insightful that I recommend doing the readings thoroughly whenever possible. Dr. Lothian is well-respected in the field of fandom studies and it's clear that she has so much passion and expertise. The class is contract-graded, which was a bit difficult for me to navigate, but I managed to get an A despite thinking I was going to get a C+ or B- - I believe if you attend class, participate thoughtfully in the discussions, and make it clear that you are putting in some effort, she will take care of you grade-wise. Cannot recommend this class and Dr. Lothian enough!!
