Clinical Research Practicum: The CATCH the Virus Study

During this course, students will have the opportunity to gain broader insight into the development and implementation of a large-scale clinical research project, as well as gain hands-on experience working as research and clinical assistants in the CATCH study at all stages of data collection. After several weeks of training in the basics of clinical research, including a review study design, human subject research, and general lab and clinic safety, students will be trained on study protocols and given the opportunity to gain practical experience working in both the clinical and laboratory setting. Students will also enrich the conceptual and theoretical context of their work via discussion and critical analysis of relevant literature.
