Mehdy Sedaghat Payam PERS405 Expecting an A Anonymous 02/04/2025	Dr. Payam is an amazing professor. He is extremely knowledgeable, fun, and has a knack for meeting a student where they are at. Like the other reviewers said he is always upbeat and seems happy to be right where he is, teaching his students. His expectations were more than fair and his instructions were clear. We had him for a Persian course and he came prepared with all sorts of materials from books, movies, podcasts, etc. He has no shortage of hilarious stories from his time in Iran which not only aided in some cultural context but also provided some niche vocabulary we probably wouldn't have heard anywhere else. He is a wonderful professor and if he is your introduction to Persian studies/Persian culture consider yourself lucky.
