Studies in Value Theory; The Ethics of Sex

Credit only granted for PHIL338D or (PHIL309S in Summer 2016). Questions of sexual morality often deal with emotionally-fraught decisions and real-world problems. This course will appeal to ethical theory to help us think carefully about the issues. We will also use films to provide a common ground for discussions. Topics include monogamy, cheating, open relationships, consent, sex & love, BDSM, pornography, prostitution, bestiality, and pedophilia.
