This class was a really great options course. There are absolutely no quizzes/exams on the lecture information she goes over in class. Overall it is pretty boring but can be insightful to learn about the COVID pandemic. Her assignments were fairly easy, it consisted of a total of 15 writing assignments twice a week. She graded them lightly at the beginning and then graded more harshly towards the end. The "big" grade from this class is a group project that is due at the very end of the semester, however there are assignments given throughout the semester that make the project less of a hassle. She also gave about 3 class periods to work with your group on the project. She seemed nice overall and was pretty funny as well. I highly suggest taking this class!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed taking this course. It provided a different perspective on the COVID-19 pandemic, and if you're interested in COVID or pandemics in general I recommend taking this course as a public health option. Dr. German is great, she is extremely knowledgeable and fairly flexible. This class does have 1-2 writing assignments a week, so that is something to consider when choosing to take this course. This class wasn't super time-consuming, which I think makes it a great elective class to take.
