Thayse Lima PORT409A Expecting an A Anonymous 12/12/2024	I don’t recommend this class, class is interesting but prof isn’t the nicest. Wayyy too much work, graded harshly on the midterm, etc. Avoid if possible, this class made my semester more stressful
Thayse Lima PORT409A Expecting an A Anonymous 12/08/2024	Honestly don't take this class, I hated it, it's too much work, I only have complaints about this professor. She's wayyyy too strict and two faced.
Thayse Lima PORT409A Anonymous 12/06/2024	Professor Lima is nice at times, but really she's two faced. Her class was wayyyy too much work/reading for a gen ed, and it just was not enjoyable most of the time. She was super annoyingly strict, telling us to close our laptops during class even when we were using them to take notes. The midterm was an essay, which she had the dumbest grading system for--exceeding expectations is a 95, meeting expectations is an 85, and below expectations is a 75, those were the only 3 grades she gave out. If you get a 75, she lets you fix it for an 85. Also, she takes attendance every class and occasionally made us write in a pink booklet to make sure we were paying attention. Overall, I felt like she treated us like little kids, it was very frustrating. The group project in the middle of the semester had really confusing prompts which led to a lot of arguing between groups, it was a horrible experience. Lastly, her final project idea was really interesting, but flawed in the sense that the only way to exceed expectations was to use a stupid virtual reality website that was SO difficult to figure out. The final project gave a lot of freedom idea wise, which was nice, but the virtual reality aspect made it horrible. Anyway, I would not take the class again, but she is open to feedback which is nice, so hopefully she improves the class moving forward.
