Lisa is very sweet and genuinely cares about her students. You mainly learn about how to manipulate your voice in acting. You have a in-person final, which is fairly easy. You perform a voice poem/monologue in front of the entire class as if it was for an audition. You have weekly journey entries that take maybe an hour per week to do. You should memorize your poem or monologue, and take time to practice it outside of class. You also have partner-warm up assignments where you meet with a student outside of class to create a warm up routine (lasts 20-25 minutes) that the entire class will follow while you and your partner lead it. The warm up incorporates different breathing and vocal techniques to prepare an actor to go on stage. Overall, you need to give I would say 1.5-2.5 hours per week for this class. Lisa does a great job helping students free their voice and breath to become better performers! Would definitely recommend! :)
