I really liked the problem sets in this course, they were super helpful for understanding the material and getting ready for the exam. I just wish there were more of them to practice with. The group project was also cool because it gave me a current view of international finance with a specific focus. The professor seems genuinely into the course content, and that made a difference. His personality is enjoyable, and I hope he opens up a bit more to make the class even more interesting. Overall a good experience. |

Just an all around, god awful experience. Apparently completely switched up the content of the class from previous semesters and made it all dense, computational power point presentations. Assigns Excel work that was never taught before and expects you to have an understanding of it (though not in the pre-reqs in the syllabus). Gives "practice problem sets" that are multi-step elaborate question, but ONLY posts the final answer and not how to solve through them. Some of these differ and are trick questions compared to what he has on the slides. The only way to understand how to do them is by going to his review lecture, where he speeds through the explanation and doesn't allow you to take a picture of his writing so you can refer back to it. By far the most unnecessarily difficult class, and worst "professor" I've had thus far. |
