Hooman Koliji ARCH468P Expecting a B+ Anonymous 05/14/2025	This review is for ARCH468I, which doesn't exist yet for some reason. There is so much work. Do not take this class if you are currently in studio, you will have a hard time balancing the two. He did let us redo assignments a lot so we could get a better grade, but to me, that just proves that there wasn't adequate time or instruction to complete them in the first place. Hooman seems like a nice guy, and I wanted to like this class because I enjoy the subject matter, but over time, my enthusiasm was worn down by the sheer amount of work and quality expected each week. He expects you to spend around 5+ hours on each assignment to get a good grade, and I just did not have time for all that. He also put in grades extremely late, like a few days before the W deadline, which is honestly unacceptable. I knew someone who didn't even know they were failing until halfway through the semester, which is absurd.
Hooman Koliji ARCH468P Anonymous 04/02/2025	Excessive amount of work for this class. Especially for an elective, he expects a lot of work to be completed every week and if it doesn't meet his expectations he'll make you redo the assignments. So you're stuck with last week's work on top of the current week's assignment. He also doesn't give clear directions for what's expected. Try avoid taking it if you're in studio, this class is similar to studio with roughly 3-6 drawings due each week. It adds up if you're taking studio.
