Expecting an A

The course work is all paper based. He gives you 5 papers to write with the option of skipping one. If you decide to do them all he will drop your lowest grade. He tells you what he wants from your paper in a very in depth guideline. Following the guideline is what helped me earn an A in the class. He also provides feedback on what worked and did not work on your paper. You have the option on resubmitting the papers at the end of the semester for a higher grade. Not only does he give you the feedback on elms but you can also consult with him about it 1 on 1 & he sometimes sets in class time for a chance to ask him in person. Along with just reaching him out via email or at the end of class. Attendance is mandatory make sure to make it on time if you want full credit on participation. He allows for extensions you just email ahead of time and if you decide to skip the last paper you finish this class earlier than the rest of your other classes which is beneficial for finals. The biggest pros: Helpful guidelines, flexibility with extensions, option for resubmission with feedback on how to improve, can finish class before finals, professor is super helpful and kind, & (not mentioned perviously) you gain an in-depth understanding of different fields that make up the art world today & how it operates. Cons: each paper takes about 1,500 words to write to get the point across across. Meaning you will be writing about 6 paper for each assignment but you will not be graded on anything else besides that & participation.
