I really enjoyed this course. Some of the quiz questions were tricky (make sure you truly understand each definition because questions had tricky phrases on occasion). Other than that, the course was fairly straightforward. Exam questions mirrored those found in quizzes. The professor was also extremely helpful, encouraging, and responsive whenever a question arose. I would recommend this instructor if you want to feel like you have a support system throughout a course. |

The class is pretty easy and fair when it comes to hw and quizzes, however for the 2 tests (midterm and final) there simply isn't enough time given. Each one is 60 questions, 120 minute lockdown browser (2 minutes a question) and while the questions themselves are fair, some of them do require computation and 2 minutes per question just isn't enough time. Overall the class workload isn't too much and the class is asynchronous |

Nice professor, had lab sessions (never went), easy to work together for HW and quizzes. 2 tests. Lot of reading at first but then I started using the "read about the concept" while I started with McGraw Hill questions which was faster. |

Very caring and approachable professor. As the other review said, the start was a little rough, but after the 3rd week, everything fell into a nice rhythm. Powerpoints are published and quiz questions are straight from there, so be sure to review them! She was generous enough to make a practice midterm and a review guide for both the midterm and final, which if you reviewed you were basically guaranteed some type of B or A. Go over her past quiz questions and make sure you understand the concept behind the question since she will often hammer home the same point, just from a different angle. Overall very enjoyable and made it easy to get the first exposure to accounting. |

Good professor! The beginning of the semester felt a bit disorganized, though that was because we were transitioning from having Professor Cantor to Professor Dennison. The professor cares about how we're doing in the class and is extremely reasonable in terms of grades and the like. She also had powerpoints that she created for each class to help put a focus on what we would be learning. Would recommend! |

Professor Cantor is a very nice guy but his teach tends to be very boring. What he does during lecture time is go over workbook problems which is good but your exams will almost always be more theory based. I felt like I learned more in the discussion section quizzes than I did during lecture. You end up talking about the Wall Street Journal far too much during class and less about actual accounting problems. |

Professor Cantor is the nicest and best professor I've ever had at UMD. For the business minor, he has the students watch lecture before class and do the workbook problems during class. If you participate and do the work, it is an easy class. He gives out extra credit on the exams and curves them nicely. He understands students needs and makes lectures fun with his skits and stories. |

Eugene is a G! His class got boring sometimes but he ultimately wants his student to learn the foundations of accounting. the final was noncumulative and the homeworks and other assignments were very easy to complete. he does in class problems and posts solutions online so you always have a resource, and his TAs are super helpful |
