Professor Qian cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She wants you to focus on learning the information instead of your grades. She goes above and beyond by providing a packet of her lecture notes and detail slides so that during class students can just listen instead of frantically jotting notes down (because let’s be real, there is so much info 😭) There wasn’t a final, instead 3 midterms with the first two worth 20% and the last midterm making up 25% of your total grade. I felt that the class is manageable, however you do need to spend some time preparing for the exams. Definitely do the practice problems because they are like the real exams and if you're crazy like me, redo the practice problem 8 more times 💀. I am very fortunate to be taking her class as she enhances the overall learning experience and I felt that I learned a lot as someone with absolutely no prior knowledge in accounting. |

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. She explains everything so well and the TA review sessions basically let you know the format for the long answer questions for the exams. Exams are not cumulative and no final, just three midterms. Pay attention in class and you won't have to study too much for the exams. |

Great Professor! She gives you all the resources you need to succeed in my opinion. Reviews that are very similar to the test, Class discussions that are relevant to what we are learning, and provides real world examples. I have learned a lot from her! I would say her only downside is she doesn't put many grades in so you really need to do well on assignments that aren't tests. She also doesn't give homework which could be a good thing but I think it doesn't really allow for full grasp of the subject since you only learn about it in class once and don't see it again until the exam/study guide. I had a really good TA who gave great review sessions so I think that plays a big part in succeeding in the class. Overall I would def take this class again, its very much better than other accounting sections! |

I really liked having her as a professor, but I wasn't a fan of the structure of her class. A portion of the exams included a lot of information solely from lectures which hurts your grade if you do not internalize everything you go over. There were also group projects that the TA graded intensely. A lot of people dropped the class and took it over the summer at community college and I wish I had done the same for my grade's sake. That being said, I learned a lot about accounting and am not sure if I would have learned as much with another professor. Good professor, tough to get an A. |

Professor Hann is an amazing professor. Accounting is a pretty boring subject for most non accounting majors, but the energy she brought to each and every class made me excited to attend and learn from her. While the no electronics felt weird at first, it was very manageable as her teaching style made paying attention in class easy. The assignments and assessments were manageable. NO HW. Overall, its pretty easy to do well, simply show up, study, and do the work. Cons: The non assessment assignments felt harshly graded and impacted grades a lot. If you didn't show up to class, you'd be screwed on the short answer responses. Other than that shes perfect. |

Dr. Hann is an amazing professor. She taught me in her first undergrad class in I believe over 15 years. First, she has so much passion for accounting and what she does for work. She also has passion for students' success and is more than willing to get to know them personally and academically to help them succeed. The way she explains concepts (specifically introductory accounting concepts for me) made it very easy to understand content. We had 3 midterm exams (no final exam) that make up 67% of our grade, then some individual or group-based smaller assignments throughout the semester. Her practice exams are very similar to her exams which makes studying more efficient for exams as well. Please take a course with her if you get the chance!! |
