Essential Programming Skills for Business Analytics

Prerequisite: BMGT301; or permission of BMGT-Robert H. Smith School of Business. Restriction: Must be in a major in BMGT-Robert H. Smith School of Business; and must not be in the Computer Science major. The course introduces structured and object-oriented programming and its applications in business functions and analytics. Students will apply problem-solving skills to create software solutions using programming logic and data structures. The course especially emphasizes learning by doing exercises using a modern, high-level programming language and industry standard software. Restricted to students in the Smith School's iTBT Fellows program. The specific programming language used in the course is subject to change as we tailor the course content to industry standards.
