Hassan Ibrahim BMGT407 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/29/2024	Ibrahim is a laid back teacher and you will likely end up with an A in the class. The class, however, is very poorly created and if you do not keep up, you will fail the class. The class is structured so that you watch lectures and create a website based on those lectures. Since all websites have different needs, it is difficult to understand and replicate code correctly. Students need to put in a ton of extra work and their own research about coding in these new languages in order to keep up. The languages we use are not even current anymore, even other UMD professors have said that this class has not been updated in 20 years!
John Bono BMGT407 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 05/23/2024	Take 407 with Ibrahim instead of Bono. Looking at their grade distributions for each class is all that you need to know. 407 with Bono will take up so much of your time leading up to the final project, which is creating a working website from scratch for a client. Our group was working all day/night the week before the final project was due. You might learn a bit more in Bono’s class (maybe I can’t say for sure) but it’s not worth it for the amount of work you’ll have to do and the stress you’ll have. I don’t even feel like I learned that much because he barely teaches you the content and makes you rely on other resources. Each week there’s an assignment that counts towards participation and it’s due the day after class at 8pm. Most of these are not easy at all and could take you hours to complete. For all everything on the project and participation assignments, neither Bono or the TA will give you concrete answers to any problems you are having. They’ll only give you vague answers (usually not in a nice manner) that don’t help you at all. Overall, Bono comes across as a robot, has little compassion for students, and almost belittles them when they ask for help. I’ve had Bono previously in other classes and this class is much much more difficult than the other courses he teaches. Take Ibrahim.
Hassan Ibrahim BMGT407 Anonymous 05/13/2024	This class is a JOKE! Ibrahim doesn't teach anything and his TA Cyrus does all the "teaching." His teaching consists of sending old lecture videos. I don't know why I paid money for this course when I taught myself everything. His other TA is super helpful though, Caifu, but since he's the only person on the teaching staff, everyone goes to him so he's flooded at office hours and beyond.

Hassan Ibrahim BMGT407 Expecting an A- Anonymous 07/06/2023	One of the WORST classes I've taken at Smith. He comes across as pretending to care but teaches you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Practically no lectures, never helped with any questions, and always pushes you to his TA who has a job and also won't help you. The only way you will do well in this class is if you have a good group.

You basically do a whole group project in the course without any lectures or help from him. If you try to get any help, he pushes you to his rude TA who has already has a job and won't help you. If I could give 0 stars on this experience I would.
Hassan Ibrahim BMGT407 Anonymous 11/26/2022	I can't believe I'm paying for this class. Ibrahim is basically a no-show for the class and most groups have no clue what's going on. He barely lectures and just uses old videos taught by someone else where you can't even see what's happening in them. Such a frustrating and disappointing experience.
Fenil Gholani BMGT407 Expecting an A- Ture 05/16/2022	Fenil is one of the best TAs I have ever had at UMD. He is super accommodating to my capstone project, and he is very patient with every detailed question that students had for him. Other than that, he could also figure out a way to explain the problem more easily so students could understand the concept. He is also very welcoming and loves to have a conversation with students, making the whole process more pleasurable. Anyway, Fenil is amazing.

He's amazing but if you're taking this class after spring 2020 then you won't have him. Just pray that your TA is as capable as mr. Sadaat was prepare to learn a lot about coding websites

I can't believe I'm paying for this class. Ibrahim is basically a no-show for the class and most groups have no clue what's going on. Fenil is one of the best TAs I have ever had at UMD. He is super accommodating to my capstone project, and he is very patient with every detailed question that students had for him. This rating is for Ibrahim's TA, who basically teaches the entire 407 course. He's amazing but if you're taking this class after spring 2020 then you won't have him. Just pray that your TA is as capable as mr. Sadaat was prepare to learn a lot about coding websites

He is funny BUT you learn nothing from him; if you ask him to help you with the project he sends you to his TA, who was helpful. Given that his input to the class is minimal, you still end up with an A in the course!!!!
