Amy Pate BSST338R Expecting an A Anonymous 05/04/2024	Dr. Pate is great! She provides very clear lectures and also uploads all of the slides from class onto canvas. This class consists of three small homework assignments (with topics that you can pick), a group paper and presentation, and then a mid-term and final that were both online and open note. She's super approachable and really seems like she wants the best for her students.
Elizabeth Yates BSST338R Expecting an A Anonymous 05/20/2022	This was one of my favorite classes at UMD. Dr. Yates was very passionate about the subject. Teaching it at such a relevant time made the class even more interesting. A good amount of reading was assigned but they are very interesting readings and they teach you a lot about the subject. Quizzes are based on readings so it is important to do every week's worth of assigned reading material. She is a fair grader and as long as you do the readings and participate the exams are fairly easy. We had a case study presentation project which was very fun. I could not recommend this class more! What we learn can be triggering and frightening but it is a necessary subject to educate ourselves on. She does a good job of warning us about triggers and letting us know we can step out of the classroom if we need to.
