Gerald Suarez BUMO758W Expecting a B Anonymous 10/31/2025	Extremely high energy and engaging. Professor Suarez keeps the entire class engaged and ensures that you actually understand the information and lesson. I have been able to use his lessons to carry forward my own research and am working on literature around that, which is being built from the inspiration of taking some coursework with him and other UMD Smith professors. Grading is fair and requires participation and understanding. If you are looking for an easy class to float through, you shouldn't be in college at all. The expectation of students working through the Smith School is to become future leaders in the business world, and professors here challenge your thinking and resolve to move you toward that goal. My entire cohort loved the teaching style, but more importantly, we were able to retain information post-course, which is rare with high-volume information classes. The Smith School, as an entity, offers several layers of support to students who actually want and need to be successful.
