Given that he is retiring, this review is useless but Im gonna review anyways. I genuinely got lobotomized when taking this class and if you ask any singular student who was taking 250 with Wang this semester, I guarantee they will also say they learned nothing. It's like if you take the shortest stick out of a million sticks and ended up with Wang. I heard 250 as a class is not hard and the reviews for other professors who teach this are really good, it's just that our class got the worst luck. There are no words to described how bad he was as a professor so Im gonna leave it here.

Exams for this course were very reasonable. Grade breakdown was very evenly distributed between attendance, homework, and exams. He listens to students, always answers questions promptly, and extended deadlines several times. Grading speed was reasonable. He did struggle with understanding technology. This is especially challenging during an online semester. He didnt know how to send announcements so everything was sent to your gmail. Sometimes he couldn't figure out how to let students into Zoom. He did post all material on ELMS, but they were just thrown into Files haphazardly and inconvenient to navigate. My primary complaint with professor Dimitrakopoulos is that he was very difficult to understand. He has a thick accent. In an of itself this is fine. I did the usual and supplemented with additional materials: course approved textbook, MATLAB official tutorials, and some YouTube videos. The only issue with this is that I was marked wrong if I used a function not explicitly mentioned in class, even if I followed the assignment directions. I did take CHBE250 over the summer and grading was primarily done by the TA.
