The class was reading heavy with 6 books throughout the semester. Most of the books were pretty easy reads and each reading took me about (~30 mins) and were pretty enjoyable. Professor Sharpstene is very understanding and quite lenient with grading so none of the assignments were particularly stressful. If you put effort in she gives you the resources to get an A (and honestly an A+). The 'lectures' were pretty fun, she started with a gimkit which is like a kahoot style quiz/game then transitioned into talking about the lesson plan for the day. Usually we either did a quick writing assignment that was turned in or a small group discussion. She was very open to feedback about which activities we liked and didnt like and was willing to modify the class as we found out what we liked best. Overall a very enjoyable professor would recommend for any of the classes she teaches. (Also considering she was assigned to teach this class like a week before it started she did a good job planning lessons) |

Super awesome teacher. The workload is decent and having to buy 6 different books is annoying (there are some online for free, others no luck). Essays aren't devious, 3-page midterm + 6-page final. Final Examination was kind of a pain due to how long the writing takes, but not too difficult. Overall, a great gen-ed and teacher combo if you don't mind Lit classes. |

Super nice and understanding professor, goes over everything you need to know for papers/presentations super in depth, and very receptive to questions. Most classes are formatted like a discussion, with the reading and discussion board activity due before class guiding the flow of the discussion and the content covered. |

This course is quite difficult if you are not a good essay writer. There are not a lot of assignments so the two essays are weighted heavily and they are graded quite harshly. The final is graded quite loosely so that is an easy grade boost. Sidman is an okay professor although it is quite hard to understand what happens in class as the texts are complex and hard to read. |

Amazing prof. So well minded, relatable, and educated. 1 7-10min presentation on any topic (book, song, movie, show, poem, ads, literally anything), around 3 discussion posts, and a final paper that is super vague. Prof grades off of completion (no one got lower than a 100% on the final or any assignments for that matter). Had a couple novels for us to read but changed some to movies and has us read less when he realized no one was reading them. The class is mainly discussion based and super interesting. |

This guy is the real deal. Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. This course is not too much work (1 presentation, a few discussion posts, and a final paper) and is pretty fun. He did originally have like 5 novels we had to read but after he realized no one felt like reading them he switched to movies instead. Take this class if you want an easy A and are open to learning new things. |

Very nice teacher. You don't have to read a single book she assigns. No participation in class is needed. Very short essays and one group project based off of one book. |
