Kalin Schultz COMM324 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/28/2025	Such a nice and understanding professor. Easy class and the assignments are long but not hard. Although she welcomes all opinions, note the point of view and work are from a liberal standpoint, so be careful with what you say.
Umisha Kc COMM324 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/18/2025	Umisha Kc is one of the sweetest professors I have met at UMD. She is understanding, patient, and fair when grading, but most importantly, she is a fantastic teacher. My COMM324 class met every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 a.m. Because the class was consistently engaging and interesting, I rarely missed it. While the material may be easy, it is certainly not boring. She has a talent for reading the room and keeping the students engaged. There may be a few too many readings assigned, but even if you just complete at least one of them, you'll be fine. If you communicate with her and put in the effort, you are almost guaranteed to earn a good grade in the class.
Kalin Schultz COMM324 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/19/2024	Kalin is one of the nicest and most understanding professors. This class is laid back and easy overall. The class is solely for participation, so attendance is mandatory. If you don't like to speak a lot, I wouldn't take the course as she submits four separate grades based on participation. Also, the topics lean toward a more liberal perspective, as do most of the readings. There are very few assignments; they aren't hard, but some of them are long. They are all reflections based on your personal experiences. She takes forever to grade work but is a fairly easy grader. Overall, she is a great teacher, makes conversations engaging, and the readings and content are really interesting.
Crystal Stone COMM324 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/04/2024	She is the best, and a super kind instructor! this class is informative and interesting, and the projects and assignments are all doable if you get started in advance. Crystal creates a safe and welcoming environment and encourages everyone to speak up. I highly recommend this class for seniors who are looking to take a fun and engaging class during their last year. Everyone can succeed as long as you show up to class and put in effort for the final assignments.
Kalin Schultz COMM324 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 06/12/2024	Pretty easy class. Skim over the readings and participate in class. This class is student based and you get more out of it if you participate. That being said there is some downsides, it's taught in a very liberal manner given the material and she takes forever to post grades but is in an easy reader. Critical Dialogue and Final Project/Paper aren't hard and you are given ample time in class.

Margaret Williams COMM324 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/03/2024	I love Dr. Williams, she is the most soft spoken professor I ever had. She always to make sure to explain assignments well and makes sure to all questions. I took her Gender class and it was so easy, lots of news briefings, 3 quizzes, student lead class, and a final podcast project. The only thing i would say is the assignment structure of class isn't that great, everything is due close together. Other than that she's amazing, take her!!

Safe classroom to ask questions and discuss topics from class we agreed or disagreed with. Highly recommend taking a class with her, and COMM324 was fun.

Trevor Parry-Giles COMM324 Expecting an A ebane 12/16/2011	One of the most engaging teachers at maryland! Funny, cool, and always willing to help his students. Keeps things interesting and is passionate about the subject. It is an easy comm class that has only 3 tests... so don't mess up. Just attend class to copy the lecture slides he has and you will do fine. Take 2 days to study though because he doesn't really tell you what he will test on. Highly recommended upper level elective.
