Nice man and not too hard of a grader. He made a lot of mistakes in the class multiple times in the semester he would explain a problem for 10-20 minutes and then realize the problem was either written wrong or he made a mistake early, and he would just be like hmm, and move on. Some days he also seemed unprepared in class. Don't avoid him but don't seek him either.

Professor Yang is not a great teacher. I didn't find the class too hard and attended all the lectures, but his explanations were confusing and he would often get it wrong the first time and have to go back and correct himself, making it more confusing. In-class ungraded worksheets and homework helped me understand the material.

I'm pretty sure she takes her powerpoints from some other teacher at another university. Lectures are incredibly boring, and you can save time by just reading it yourself. There seems to be a disconnect between her and the other TA making the homework since they seem to cover completely different topics. Exams are questionably easy on the grading so a good grade is possible but you won't learn anything at all.

Great teacher, she relates previously learned topics with new material which helps retain stuff. It might be difficult to pay attention in class because the overall course is really boring and intensive, however her lecture slides and recordings can really help teach yourself the concepts. Looking back, I was just a tad lazy because of the course expectations, but her mode of teaching is excellent.

He explains things really well. I wish there were more professors like him! The class doesn’t curve, but the grading is generous.

She's nice but not a good teacher at all, her lectures are boring as hell, confusing, and got nothing to do with the homework because the other teacher makes those. Not really her fault though, because I'm pretty sure she's not an actual professor and just filling in or something? Not sure what happened with this class but they definitely fucked up.

explains things pretty poorly... acts like you should already know the answer when you have a question. TA was never there. pretty difficult course so I recommend making some friends to study with.

While the tests are hard, this class was full of fools, which made the curve very generous. This class is kind of pointless because it is basically a variety of random math topics. The TAs were ok, could be better. Cramton promised on the first day of class that he wouldn't use lecture format but that's exactly what he did. He is definitely a superior economist, but he seems not to give 2 shits about lowly undergrads.

Though an very intelligent person, overall, Cramton is a pretty average professor. Being a calculus class, it isn't effective for him to just read off of a powerpoint and try to teach proofs all day by just lecturing about them. He doesn't teach how to do the problems at all, but fortunately the TA's are pretty helpful in that area in discussion. They were the ones that actually prepared us for exams. Theres a pretty generous curve though.

I retook this course with Professor Cramton and WHAT an improvement from Professor Ozbay! Cramton is responsible for creating the exams and powerpoints and Ozbay simply takes them for his class offered in the fall (WARNING: DO NOT TAKE 300 WITH HIM!) Cramton allows a cheatsheet (front and back) for his exams, which can be pretty tricky w/ the wording of definitions but the math is simple. But BEWARE, the final is EXTREMELY HARD. you can have an A/B the entire semester and bomb the final and can get a C/D! MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE LAST PART OF THE CLASS (game theory and mixed strategies) the problem sets are hard, but if you go to discussions the TAs basically give you the answers.

Prof Cramton is a very smart guy, who is also enthusiastic about economics, which is hard to find. He is very fair as far as grading goes, because he curves exams and does not put very much emphasis on the difficult problem sets. Basically, if you go to class you should have absolutely no problem getting a B

Prof. Cramton appears to be to smart to teach. His mind goes to fast for his mouth and he stumbles on his words from time to time. It appears that he doesn't like to write on the chalk board and so he explains how to solve a calc problem without doing it step by step on the board like traditional math professors. If you had no problems with Calc. prepare to have troubles in this class. The math is not hard but he finds a way to make the exams very hard. It might be because a lot of the questions are definition based. It was kind of shocking after sitting down for the first exam and scoring very poorly. He fits all the grades into a bell curve so that even if you fail you end up passing. The Exams are 25 questions. You must go to class to pass for sure. Unless you can learn from reading a math book. This is a pretty new course at Maryland, so props to Prof. Crampton. He's a very smart guy who actually does economic stuff with his life that makes him money (I think he's some kind of consultant), which gives me hope for the future. Anyway, the course is difficult if you're not a math brain (it's basically Calc I for economics), as are the exams. (Mult choice, with all of the above and none of the above options on EVERY question!) BUT, they are curved nicely so that the average is around a B, when the actual average is around 60%. Though the slides are posted online, I recommend going to class if you don't understand things. He's a decent professor.

Very dry, monotonous and boring. Extremely technical in his explanations and terms. Obviously knows the subject material very well but doesn't convey it in a way that makes sense at all to the class.

I don't understand anything he is ever talking about. Neither does the rest of my class. Extremely boring, has a monotonous voice, explains things in very technical terms. Probably a really good economist, but not a very good teacher. He doesn't make our exams though so there not too bad.
