Ginger Jin ECON433 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/29/2025	This class was really interesting. Professor Jin is really great and really has a passion for the content covered in this course. Almost all of the classes were over zoom with a few acceptations. Also the lectures were really engaging, she asked polls connecting us to the content and opened the floor to discussions which made the class more interesting. The only days that are not on zoom are the presentation days. There were 4 in class presentations that were in person. You will sign up for only one. For your presentation, you will represent an entity, like a business or a government agency, that has a position on a certain topic. Then you present your entity's stance on the topic while other groups representing different entities present theirs's as well and all the groups end up discussing the topic. It's not too difficult to prepare for and it turns out to be more discussion based. Also, there are three coding projects as well. The TA and the professor do a great job laying out the code and discussing what you will be doing in the projects. If you have never coded before, it can be difficult at first but once you get the hang of it, its not that bad. Overall I'm really glad I took this class and I found it really interesting and I learned Python as well. I had a great experience.
Ginger Jin ECON433 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/29/2024	Ginger Jin is great, very knowledgeable, and open to questions. The coding can be a struggle at first but it is learnable and ChatGPT is allowed to be used on it. Grading was relatively nice and done by the TA. Group project/presentation is not very hard.
