Michaela Brooks EDHD402 Expecting an A- Anonymous 01/02/2025	Not a major fan of her teaching style. Very lecture heavy and attendance required for every class. Also, not very responsive when reaching out through email.
Olga Walker EDHD402 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/14/2024	Very sweet teacher, she is pretty easy to follow through. She is able to break down each concept and explain them in detail which helps, and her lectures are straight forward with what you need to know. I like how some of her lectures and assignments are asynchronous and that all of her exams are online and not cumulative, which is convenient with me taking 16-17 credits this semester (down bad academic 😔). I actually enjoy her class discussion posts because the prompts are pretty creative and it furthers your thinking about certain concepts which is great! Her assignments are usually done in class since it is groupwork, but they aren't difficult at all as they reflect to what you have learned from that chapter.
Angelica Alonso EDHD402 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/06/2022	Professor Alonso was very nice and pretty accommodating, but was very strict with due dates and requirements. She is also very strict about plagiarizing her slides or what she says and our class got in trouble when our exam answers sounded too similar to the slide content. Which was confusing and stressful for the class because you can only reword a theory or explanation enough before it is an incorrect description of it. We had a large final project (weighted more than exams) which took up about the last month of class, and in that time we learned no new material. When finals time came around, we did not review any material because no one had emailed her ahead of time with questions, even though we were all focused on the giant project that was due. the material was interesting but the strictness was frustrating for sure.
Riley Sims EDHD402 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/22/2021	incredibly kind and thoughtful. She's also lenient with grading. Just make sure you do the work and you'll get an A.
