Such a kind person. I highly recommend taking this class with her! She takes information that can be really dense and is able to break it down really well, and is always encouraging discussion in class. There is a midterm, final exam, and a group project. Just make sure you take good notes not only on the slides, but also what she says. Some of the minor details can pop up on the midterm or final exam. |

Super easy class and definitely recommend it if needing a core requirement but Kate is extremely annoying. They're all over the place and so chaotic and frantic. The lecture is easy to understand and the workload is very easy its just weekly quizzes of three questions and then your opinions and every once in a while a discussion board. There's also a group project that you do over the whole sem and you only need to work on it in class. Very easy class that requires very little work a week but they're voice is grating and you need to have a certain level to patience to get through hearing them talk. |

Love this professor. Prof Raz makes her directions very clear and she responds to emails very quickly (same day responses- within 2 hours). Her discussions are not hard and it's fun because she wants you to personalize it. She has 2 exams for the class and she makes sure that you have a good study guide. Taking notes is very important. During her lecture though she stutters a lot but I think that's fine because everyone gets nervous. She gives extra credit opportunities and it goes a long way. I finished with a 94% (without extra credit) and after the extra credit I finished with a 99% in the class She is very understanding and helps you out a lot and can give your great research opportunities. You'll love her. |

Kate is really cool. Lectures are pretty straightforward; they present some slides and occasionally show a video related to the content. It's not really necessary to come to class because they post the slides online, but it can be helpful to go. There's weekly chapter assignments that correlate with the lectures/reading and discussion posts as well. It's definitely a manageable workload. They are really accommodating and easy to contact as well. There is a final exam (non-cumulative) and a team project that is pretty chill. I would highly recommend this class. |

Professor Raz is a good professor. They are very accommodating when it comes to assignments. It's honestly worth reading the textbook to understand the material, but you can get away with learning from the lectures. Raz makes excellent points in lectures. Overall, the class is fairly easy and simple. There are weekly chapter reading assignments with the occasional discussion post, all of which are not too difficult to complete. There was also a group presentation at the end, which is pretty easy as well. Additionally, the mid-term and final questions are applied knowledge questions. All work can be done in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, Raz is a good professor. |

Dr. Wigfield is amazing. I really recommend him for edhd413. He is such a nice guy, so understanding, and overall just great. If you try and do well on the midterm and final its not a difficult class. |

Wigfield was a pleasure to take his class. He was very informed on adolescent development and was very intent on learning each person's name and who they were. He was very approachable and down to earth and had a decent sense of humor. His power points were very useful and he was more than willing to create study sessions before exams. The pop quizzes he gave were sometimes challenging, but the answers were definitely in the slides and lectures. I really enjoyed his class, even though sometimes he was a tad technologically challenged. I would definitely recommend him. |
Alice Donlan

Donlan is a graduate student and a decent teacher. Her classes are taken explicitly from the textbook and her lectures are simply a review of the assigned reading material. Sometimes she livens up the boring PowerPoint slides with some current research or a real-life application, but if you decided to read and study the textbook and not go to any of the classes--you would learn the same amount. She has a few multiple-choice quizzes (5 questions), two multiple-choice exams (50 questions), and she accounts for attendance by giving random assignments during class time (so you HAVE to go to class to earn these points). If you study the material for the tests and quizzes, and attend the classes, you can easily get an A. If you want a more in-depth assessment of the material, or if you want to truly LEARN, then choose a different instructor. |

Battle is the best! The class is interesting and challenging and I feel like a better student for taking it. |

Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. The class was extremely engaging, half due to the subject matter and half due to Dr. Battle's ability to break down difficult theories in an easily understandable way. More importantly, she was able to relate each theory to a teacher's experience in the classroom. Her spunky personality had everyone in the class hooked. Four 3-4 page homework assignments, six quizzes (she drops two), midterm (take-home essays, in-class exam) and final (take-home essay, in-class exam), and a good amount of reading. Definitely worth it to take the class with Dr. Battle, because she makes herself available for help in and out of class the entire semester, and she really wants to see everyone succeed. |
