Dr. Donlan is an absolute gem. One of the best professors I have had at this university. She makes classes extremely low-pressure and discussion-based. I never felt like I wanted to skip class even though she records her lectures. The class content is manageable and relatively easy if you already have basic knowledge of psychology. Fair midterms and we wrote our own final exam. If you get the chance to take this class with her, do it! |

I have never written a review or thought about writing a review until I had professor Donlan. She is such an amazing teacher that relates all course concepts to real life and makes every topic interesting. She is the best professor I have had in my 5 semesters at this school and I seriously recommend taking her classes if you get the chance. |

Donlan is a graduate student and a decent teacher. Her classes are taken explicitly from the textbook and her lectures are simply a review of the assigned reading material. Sometimes she livens up the boring PowerPoint slides with some current research or a real-life application, but if you decided to read and study the textbook and not go to any of the classes--you would learn the same amount. She has a few multiple-choice quizzes (5 questions), two multiple-choice exams (50 questions), and she accounts for attendance by giving random assignments during class time (so you HAVE to go to class to earn these points). If you study the material for the tests and quizzes, and attend the classes, you can easily get an A. If you want a more in-depth assessment of the material, or if you want to truly LEARN, then choose a different instructor. |

Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about but Alice is a fine teacher. Simply study the slides for the 3 tests, write an easy paper, and you get an A. Tests are crazy easy, especially because this class is basically PSYC100 but less studying and simple concepts. And she is always willing to help students if they have problems. Highly recommended for upper-level elective of any major |

She is a super nice lady, but I absolutely hated her! Grade is based off of a presentation, 3 tests (with short answers), a 5 page paper, and pop quizzes. Very hard short answer grader, which was my problem with her if you didn't write exactly what she wanted she would give you 0 credit. There are much better EDHD320 teachers, avoid Alice! |
