Mechanics of Composite Structures

Prerequisite: MATH246, ENAE324, ENES220, and MATH241. Introduction to structures composed of composite materials and their applications in aerospace. In particular, filamentary composite materials are studied. Material types and fabrication techniques, material properties, micromechanics, anisotropic elasticity, introduction to failure concepts. Restriction: Must be Aerospace Engineering major or receive permission from department.
