The IoT course taught by Dr. Tigalo with TA Jayanth was a strong and valuable class. It teaches many key Internet of Things concepts that are widely used in industry, and it also gives students the chance to work with these ideas hands-on in the lab, which really helps reinforce learning. At times, the labs took longer than the allotted time to complete, so I would like to see more time allocated for labs. However, overall, the course was very well run. The final project was especially useful and made a great addition to my resume. All in all, it was a good and rewarding class.

Intro to IoT was a well-balanced and engaging course that provided a great introduction to the CPSE major. Prof. Tiglao made the class approachable and effective, with labs that reinforced the lectures and were even adjusted based on student feedback. Although some labs felt rushed due to time limits, this was not the professor’s fault, and he handled these situations with patience and understanding. Overall, it was a positive and supportive learning experience.

Intro to IoT was a good course, and I've heard from other cohorts that they have had similar experiences. It is a nice introduction to the CPSE major and was not too difficult. It was a needed balance for the other courses, which were much more challenging. However, this does not mean that Prof. Tiglao did not put a lot of effort into teaching it to be engaging. The labs were adapted based on the requests of our classmate's midway through the semester, which we all appreciated. Another positive note is that Prof. Tiglao is understanding and accommodating if a person experiences personal circumstances such as illness.
