Nestor Tiglao ENEB346 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 12/28/2025	The class itself was very packed material-wise, but I learned a lot throughout the semester. The homework assignments were very helpful for practicing the material and significantly improved my MATLAB skills, which will be useful for future classes I will be taking. The lecture slides were especially helpful and should definitely be taken full advantage of in Dr. Tiglao’s class; they are detailed and full of content. I also really enjoyed the linear algebra project, as it was a great learning opportunity and helped reinforce the concepts in a practical way. Overall, the class was a great experience, and I learned a lot, retained a lot of the material, and found the lectures clear and well-structured.
Nestor Tiglao ENEB346 Expecting an A Anonymous 11/03/2025	If you learn best by doing practice problems, then this class will match that type of learning style. I believe if you took a 200 level Lin Alg course, either in HS or CC or elsewhere, you will be in a good place. You will learn more here, but having that background helps you catch on quickly. I didn't like the fact that we had to format everything (from HW to code) in Latex at the time, but I'm glad I'm much better at Latex now. It's used everywhere in academia from research papers to the way textbooks and homework's are written from the professor's side. Tldr; sometimes learning is hard and repetitive, but the content here is useful if you plan to go into research, ML, or other heavily data-science based roles.

He genuinely cares about students’ learning and encourages questions and participation. Assignments are fair and meaningful, and the feedback he provides is helpful and detailed. I learned a lot from his class and highly recommend taking it.
