One of the best english profs out there. She is so incredibly nice and so lenient with due dates and extensions. It is so easy to earn points and increase your grade. As someone who isn't great at English I would totally recommend her.

She's incredibly easy to work with and very fair, as a stem major who made english my lowest priority she worked with me constantly for due dates, feedback, and drafts so i could still succeed in her class while also having a very difficult course load. She also didn't have any mandatory participation points in order to boost attendance, just short and straightforward reading quizzes at the beginning of class that were usually about whatever reading was assigned the night before, if you ave to miss class for whatever reason, the 3 lowest reading quizzes get dropped so you can miss 3 times, overall she's the best!!!

Professor Howard is sincerely one of the best professors I have had this Fall 2023 semester and made my transition into college 10x easier. He made sure to never to bore you in his class and is really funny. I love how he creates a welcoming space for his students and gives great feedback on his grading. He is the type of professor who cares about your success & understands YOU ARE HUMAN!!

She was a super easy grader and always gave A's for my assignments and papers. She only posted major assignment due dates on Canvas so you would have to look on the syllabus for when discussion boards were due which was annoying. Her classes were so boring and attendance wasn't taken so it wasn't necessary to go at all. She seemed like she never knew what she was doing and never really explained assignments. If you get her it wont be awful, but definitely don't choose to take her.

Professor Sharpstene is one of the best English professors I've had as this is my first year in the fall semester. She always shows up with a bright and open attitude and actually shows that she cares about students' performance in class. Her assignments are straightforward, so nothing should be shocking or confusing to you, and she is organized with the instructions she gives out which are really useful by the way. She makes sure that she provides enough resources to her students and it is a lot, and she is always available to answer questions. Her grading isn't harsh, so it is really easy to get an A in her class (I have a A+ right now). She also posts lectures on the canvas page to refer back to which is nice and she gives constructive feedback on assignments. This course won't be difficult for you if you show up, do the assignments, pay attention, and ask for help from this professor, so I highly suggest choosing her when considering in registering for this course! I forgot to add that she usually assigns what readings to read for homework and she gives out reading quizzes based on them before the start of class. Other than that, she is a really sweet and carefree teacher!!

easy grader, but strange teaching approach and often makes the class feel awkward by her lack of confidence and strange comments. i hope i never have to take a class taught by her again, and strongly advise against signing up for any class she teaches.

He did not like students using laptops in class, even though our syllabus mentioned us being allowed to use them in the first place. It’s a good idea to come to class and participate, if you don’t show up having read whatever he’s assigned then you may have a difficult time in class. He’s not a bad person, in fact he’s a good guy deep down, although there are times where he may come off as arrogant. The class itself was structured around discussions of what was assigned prior, if you come prepared then you’ll have an easy time. Brooks is a super liberal person and teaches that way, which helps bring the content of the class to relevant news of our current issues.
