I agree that she's pretty enthusiastic, and she clearly does like the material in macroprocessing, but her lectures are really just god-awful. She crams too much info on her powerpoints and when she uses them she spouts other random knowledge that may or may not be relevant to the class at all. Both in her presentations and in what she writes on the board, she doesn't write enough to convey meaningful info or even to be understandable except as a direct supplement when she's talking. I went to every class, but then when trying to learn on my own with her material it was essentially useless. Her organization is terrible, with seemingly random interjections and tangents that may still be important. The class seemed to be structured as almost an overview of the entire industry, and then her homeworks were on really specific things. For example, she went over grinding methods and what size input and output they were used for in class, and then had us pick grinding methods for specific materials in the homework - no sizes mentioned or even useful. And the tangents, oh my god. I know more about this woman's ex-husband, current "boyfriend" (shudder), and kid than I do about my own brother, not to mention her personal interests and every single person she's ever met in the industry. Overall, this class was frustrating and honestly seemed pretty outdated most of the time. Not recommended.

She knows her stuff for this course and is very helpful if you need to talk to her or don't understand something. If you're having trouble in a course she is teaching go talk to her. She wants you to learn and do well.
