I took Sami for the first time he taught ENME201 and he was magnificent. He brought in fantastic speakers from around the country, and with so many different background and perspectives on mechanical engineering. We also had a final project of building a business plan for the life. The criteria was nonexistent; his only goal was the we put some thought into our future for our own sake of planning. This was a pass/fail class and he would often say "The only way you fail this class is if you don't get anything out of it," and he stood by that statement, changing lecture topics on a dime to whatever topics the students asked him to talk about. This felt more like a very helpful career workshop than a class and Sami felt more like a mentor than a professor.

ENME201 is just a pass/fail class with very little work and guest speakers every week. Bigio only ran a few of the lectures, but is one of the friendliest people I have encountered in the ME department. Take this class if you want to figure out what you want to do with your ME degree
