GVPT459C Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/16/2025 |
Woke slop. Easy A because it’s just based on how much work you do rather than the quality. Really a ridiculous grading system being used more often unfortunately. He’s a nice enough guy up front but the class itself is really just ideological subversion. An inversion of reality. I think it’s for the best to see that the class is no longer being offered. Quite ridiculous, but feel free to review the reading material yourself if you disagree. |

Professor Johnson is an amazing professor! He is genuine and understands the life of college students when you take his class. What I really enjoy about his class is that you decide what grade you want based off the work you put in. He's also really easy to reach out to and wants you to succeed with whatever career path you take. Definitely would recommend him for any of his classes. |

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The most accommodating, warm, and thoughtful professor that I have had here at UMD. Learned so much from him, its clear he genuinely cares about his students. He established a policy of labor-based grading for this class; not sure if he's continuing with it for all of his classes, but it took the stress and pressure off. You basically decide which extra assignments you want to do to boost your grade. Cannot recommend him enough. |

Professor Johnson is GREAT! Super nice and lectures are very inclusive and engaging. In 459C the workload was not heavy, we had an option between 4 essays throughout the semester or 2 essays and a final research paper. Prof. J can be disorganized at times though. Super interesting if you are into the topic of race and ethnicity outside an American context and on top of that he's super understanding and knowledgable! I'd gatekeep him if I could but I thought I'd throw yall a bone Take him! |
