Best TA I've had. Considering they forced the professor to retire after my class, he was probably the only reason we passed. |

Reasonable. Would probably take any class taught by her so long as the subject matter was of interest to me. Assessments are fair, grading is more or less 20% participation, a midterm, a final, and 1 paper. |

I really enjoyed Prof. Lee's class. I wouldn't say her lectures were amazing, but she definitely keeps your attention. Her assignments were really interesting and she offered plenty of choice about what projects to do and what to write your paper about. The one downside was that the class did require a lot of work. She gives frequent reading assignments and gives short reading quizzes on them. For us, there was also a project, a short paper, a medium-length paper, and two exams. She grades somewhat toughly, but fairly. The class is a lot of work, but it's interesting and you learn a lot. |

Here's the deal: My experience with Dr. Uslaner wasn't as bad as others below. I've never had a personal issue with him, but he's just not a great professor. His lectures are pretty bad. He's extremely knowledgable about the subject matter, but has a serious organization problem when it comes to his lectures. It's sometimes tough to follow him, but his TAs will give you a study guide for the exams. His syllabus is absolute garbage and is totally useless, his TAs usually re-write it and make it readable. He has some very odd policies (must use three sources from the class readings on the paper or you get a D). He also got very upset that people were showing up late to class this semester, so he started seriously penalizing people for it. His TAs are very helpful, so make sure you go to discussion. This semester, he had a graduate and undergraduate TA. Odd for a class of about 40, but totally helpful. He's not great, but the class wasn't too difficult. |

Professor LEe is knowledgeable professor whose lectures, while a tad boring, are informative and pretty easy to follow. There is an attendance policy, so don't expect to skip lectures. The class is well-organized, structured, and ESSENTIAL for any GVPT major. The work load is tough, but not unexpected: this is a 400 level course. We had a project (not difficult), weekly reading quizzes, a midterm, a term paper (10 page, easy topic) and a final exam. Her exams can be somewhat tricky, since she expects that you pay attention in lecture. Overall, great class. |

I enjoyed her classes. Lectures could get a bit boring at times, but overall, kept my attention. good organization of lectures and classes. Reading quizes are hard for most people, but the workload was a typical of a 400 level gvpt class. |
