Kristina Miler GVPT479G Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/13/2023	Great lecturer and great in a smaller classroom environment. She's great at getting students to weigh in and influence the course content, plus her lectures are all very organized and course content builds off of itself very well. I'd recommend this to any GVPT major. There were three exams and one presentation in class. Additionally, you do have to attend class and be involved from time to time as participation is 15% of the grade. Normally this bothers me, but was not a problem in this class. Miler is very knowledgeable and a model professor.
Kristina Miler GVPT170 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/11/2023	I had Dr. Kris Miler in Spring 2023 for GVPT170. She is an excellent professor and very nice. I would recommend her. She knows a lot about the American political system, and her lectures are good. The class was easy and informative. If you attend lectures you will get an A on the midterm and final. Dr. Kristina Miler is an excellent professor.
Kristina Miler GVPT170 Expecting an A- Anonymous 06/28/2023	Miler was a good lecturer. The lecture had good enough slides and they were all posted online! Even though I forgot to buy textbooks I still managed to pass the class with an A. The exams were based on the lecture slides and were not super textbook heavy. However, I recommend doing the readings because it helps with discussions and the chapter quizzes. My only problem with the class was it was hard to keep on track with all the content, and that Miler isn't specific about what exactly to study on exams. Fair grader. You can do well if you do all the chapter quizzes, go to lecture, and study the material from the lecture (using the textbook as a resource.)
Kristina Miler GVPT170 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/14/2023	Miler was good! She had detailed slides and was very engaging (especially with such a big lecture). There were chapter quizzes (just had to be completed by the end of the semester and lowest 3 grades are dropped), weekly discussion boards (lowest grade is dropped), a midterm, and a final exam. My only complaint is that the course can sometimes seem a bit jumbled because of how much content it has to cover. Also, the discussion boards correlated with a different textbook than what is used for lecture (which was kind of annoying because it felt like discussion and lecture did not always connect). Overall, a good first intro level GVPT course.
Kristina Miler GVPT170 Expecting a B- Anonymous 05/05/2023	This class was fine but you have to do the readings. There are a LOT of readings. The TA Isiah was super cool and passionate about the work.
Kristina Miler Anonymous 12/26/2020	Look, Miller is not bad, she has decent lectures, but there are some minor but annoying issues. One, I know that we are doing work online, but her lectures are all prerecorded on Panopto in such horrible quality that you might as well ignore them, just like I did. You get 2 textbooks, if you read them properly and take even the most basic notes you will pass. We did not have a midterm due to online school, but 2 papers. For me they were easy, but for many kind of difficult. Discussion was not really necessary, but did not detract from the class overall. Not a bad class.
Kristina Miler GVPT473 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/11/2018	Reasonable. Would probably take any class taught by her so long as the subject matter was of interest to me. Assessments are fair, grading is more or less 20% participation, a midterm, a final, and 1 paper.
