Kristina Miler GVPT479G Expecting an A Anonymous 05/14/2025	Definitely one of my favorite professors ever at UMD now, and I'm grateful to have experienced her before graduating! Dr. Miler is very charismatic and cares deeply about her subject. She is able to bounce off of what students have to say with ease while making class very entertaining. I learned so much about interest groups, lobbying, campaigning, and social movements. The class has 2 non-cumulative exams, 3 short papers, and a group presentation/debate. The workload is very do-able and if you are interested in the topics you should definitely enroll in this class!
Kristina Miler GVPT479G Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/13/2023	Great lecturer and great in a smaller classroom environment. She's great at getting students to weigh in and influence the course content, plus her lectures are all very organized and course content builds off of itself very well. I'd recommend this to any GVPT major. There were three exams and one presentation in class. Additionally, you do have to attend class and be involved from time to time as participation is 15% of the grade. Normally this bothers me, but was not a problem in this class. Miler is very knowledgeable and a model professor.
