Professor Rhue was okay. She seemed like a nice person and genuinely wanted to help, but she didn’t always connect well with younger students. When people asked for advice in class, she gave good feedback, but her grading could be super picky. Sometimes it was hard to tell what she actually wanted, especially when it came to formatting or what the rubric was looking for. The class itself, HBUS105, was kind of boring. It focused a lot on AI and tech, which sounded interesting at first, but got repetitive fast. Most of the class didn’t really remember much of what was talked about by the end. To be fair, Rhue tried to make it more engaging and worked with the material she had, but it just didn’t land. The grades were based on three position papers (25%), three team papers (25%), three team presentations (25%), peer evaluations (8%), and a final exam (17%). The constant focus on AI for every assignment got old quickly. The TA graded the position papers, and Rhue graded the teamwork. The final exam was open-note and open-internet (except for ChatGPT), but it still felt unnecessarily tough and included random material that no one expected. Honestly, I think Rhue just needs to be clearer about what she wants for assignments and not get so caught up in tiny details. With clearer expectations and more variety in the topics, the class could be a lot better.

constantly changed expectations, blatantly ignored students emails, lectures were a complete snoozefest, and learned absolutely nothing from this class. The final exam was ridiculous and I doubt anyone felt prepared for it. Really hope she reevaluates the way she carried this class for the future semesters she is allowed to teach it.

top 5 bottom feeder humans in all of existence. absolutely no sympathy in her heartless soul. she is built off of pride and ego because of her ph.d and teaching credentials, so everything a student says will go in one ear and out the other. around 2/3 of your grade will be determined off of team presentations and papers that 1: will have points decked off for things not even mentioned in the class or rubric 2: will get your points taken off in the presentation even if it was never mentioned once in the criticism left on the paper 3: will not help you on your next paper because her requirements and expectations change each time, basically letting you figure out new mistakes that you would never know exist. the amount of times that she has ignored classmates, argued and put other students down, and done nothing to prepare us for anything as the curriculum and the papers we write are completely unrelated. in addition, the final was cumulative of the useless information she taught and was ALL select that apply. some of the things on the exams were the most minute details mentioned in class that sometimes she even expected us not to know. and im sure if we ever complained, she would put us down and tell us to pay more attention in class like she always has. when complained about grades, she would say that we didn't go to her office hours and that it was our fault, but like in some other reviews, she would not take anybody seriously and also neglect their need for help. overall, fuck this teacher. I would rather castrate myself and dip myself in hot lava than to spend another 3 hours a week with this woman.

Professor Rhues's handling of this class shows she's unfit to teach it. The biggest issue with this course was Professor Rhue's expectations. Rhue changed her expectations for each assignment/presentation, which made it difficult to do well in this class. The feedback that Rhue did provide felt harsh and sometimes personal. Additionally, every lecture was the same and hardly interactive, which made it difficult to pay attention and learn. Also, Rhue gave no guidance for the final exam, which was extremely unfair considering that the class is based on team papers and presentations.

Might be the worst professor I've ever had. She is incredibly vague with her expectations and does a terrible job communicating between what she's looking for in a paper/presentation. She then takes off points for the most minuscule of details, which makes it feel impossible to get a perfect score. Her lack of communicated rubric or expectations are incredibly inconvenient as she then docks points, citing that you didn't follow the rubric when the rubric isn't stated in the first place, often times changing her feedback to make herself look better or as if she did her job as a grader/instructor correctly. Don't even think about asking or trying to reason through the missed points as she is disrespectful and very passive aggressive.

Great prof, great person. Very insightful, totally engaged in the class, and caring about all students. Not much to say, he was the best director that the IBH program could have started out with.
