Dr. Franco is so sweet and passionate about the topic and it really shows. She's clearly very knowledgeable about the topic, which does mean some lectures are a bit research-heavy, but she explains it pretty well. The homework is usually just assigned readings, and there are a few slightly bigger projects, but she gives you enough time so that it's manageable. As you can guess, there is A LOT of socializing required for this class because she's always having students or TAs host events, there are often getting-to-know-you activities during class, and some assignments make you talk to people outside of class. I am a bit of an introvert so this ended up being extremely overwhelming to me, but if you want to get to know more people, you'll probably benefit a lot. Regardless, the class is still a very easy A if you need that honors credit. |

Dr. Franco was one of the sweetest professors ever. No phones were allowed in her class but honestly the class was so engaging and hands on that I did not feel I needed it. It was a great way to relax from my difficult STEM coursework. I really enjoyed this class and looked forward to it every week. There were a lot of readings but the discussions in the class were actually so insightful. Highly recommed Dr. Franco and this class. |
