Max Barnewitz HNUH278R Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/13/2025	I really enjoyed taking their class! There was a good amount of reading, but I do think it was manageable and easy because they are mostly comic books. The professor is good at what they do, and they are very kind, understanding, and welcoming. There are group discussions about the comics, and we keep a composition notebook throughout the semester filled with in-class drawing activities, and you are recommended to try do a page every day. Even though I didn't, they are very easy when it comes to grading. I recommend you take this class if you can.
Max Barnewitz HNUH278R Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/03/2025	Awesome professor. Barnewitz is a very kind professor. This course is really fun to take and it's not difficult to become impassioned with the content, as much as they are. Even though I consider myself a terrible cartoonist, I learned so much from this class and genuinely think I've gotten better at, not just drawing but identifying empowering metaphor and cause in the comics I read now. Honestly, this class inspired me to read more in general, which I count as a plus. I would definitely suggest you take this class if you can. Low stress, great reward.
