This was a solid class. This semester, the class was graded on two one-page reports, one in-class exercise, one final presentation, and participation. The rubrics for each of these assignments were still unclear (with regards to the previous commenter), however they were graded pretty leniently, and the effort one puts into these assignments was clearly taken into account. Nissen's lectures were definitely a bit difficult to sit through sometimes, compounded by us frequently having at least 50 pages of semi-required reading every week. However, he gave us a break during the class period and often would let us out early, so it wasn't a full three-hour slog every week. Overall, Economic Diplomacy with Nissen is not a bad choice for a Fellows course! It is not the easiest Fellows choice, but it does a great job of digging into the complex, modern issues faced by our present economic institutions.
