Practical Skills in HCI; Research through Design

In this research seminar, students will learn the Research through Design (RtD) approach, with which they can speculate on what the future could and should be by making new things that disrupt, complicate, or transform the current state of the world. Students will explore the theoretical and historical grounding of RtD, nuanced differences and similarities between RtD and design practice, and their relation to the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research.
