Adi Mahalel JWST272 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/31/2025	The key to this class is participation. If you raise your hand and add something to the discussion once or twice a class, he will like you. There definitely is a lot of reading, but it is manageable and as long as you get the main ideas, you're def fine. The only assignments are papers, but if you are decent at writing and put effort into your ideas, then he'll grade you well. Not the first class I'd recommend, but not the last.
Adi Mahalel JWST272 Expecting an A Anonymous 11/22/2024	Not as bad as the reviews make him out to be. He's kinda intimidating and makes sort of passive aggressive comments if you miss class or say something wrong, but he's honestly chill if you go to class and participate at least once per class. He gave a pop quiz which was bad once, but again that was only once. If you do what he wants, essays are easy to get a good grade on. Also the readings are long but if you just skim them you'll be fine.

Adi Mahalel JWST272 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/29/2023	I don't know why his reviews are so bad. Class was interesting and not too hard, yes there were lots of long readings but as long as you skimmed the material and chimed into conversation at least once a class it was fine. There are 2 short reflection essays and 2 papers with no exams or homework outside of the reading. Overall an interesting course and a pretty understanding guy. Definitely give it shot if the course material interests you and don't let these reviews make you turn away.
