Marvin Scott KNES386 Anonymous 04/28/2014	It was not stated when I signed up for this class that you would have to put in three hours a week outside of class at a volunteer site. Being expected to get to a volunteer site that was not in walking distance was sometimes a struggle. There are two midterms and a final and if you can choose not to take the final if you do well on the first two exams. Every week you have to write a reflection from what you did at your service site and Scott grades these harder than they need to be graded. There is also a six page paper on a research question of your choosing. Overall, this class was made more difficult than it needed to be. There was more work than I would have expected.
Marvin Scott KNES386 Expecting a B henryt19 05/13/2012	Dr Scott grades subjective material like an objective test. He assigns reflections and evaluates them based on the class material. He worries too much about the wording of your work than the content. Its frustrating receiving mediocre grades when yo understand the class. Make sure you use exact wording on tests and papers or he will deduct points no mercy. He makes an interesting, fun class dissapointing.
