Special Topics in Landscape Architecture; Brookside Garden Stroll for Wellness

A Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability (PALS) course where students apply classroom learning to actual community needs. Open to the campus community with permission of the instructor. Addtional Meetings are Saturday, March 10, April 7, and April 28 from 10:00am - 1:30pm and the final presentation on Saturday, May 5 from 10:00am - 12:00pm which will meet at Brookside Garden in Wheaton, MD. Transportation provided to all off-campus meetings. Students will explore the healing effects of a structured walk in a garden setting. They will research how engaged contact with nature can establish positive outcomes for people suffering from stress-induced illness and fatigue.
