I really enjoyed how she taught the material, the readings could be dense but she was good at explaining them. She is respectful to students and understanding of personal circumstances. She was slow to grade but I think part of it was due to a death in her family so I do not really blame her but like it was quite slow. Not a harsh grader when you put effort into assignments and there really were not that many, mostly responding to questions about/discussing the readings. I learned a lot, but like it was kind of disorganized

I also think this class should have been strictly online. She's a cool person but I can't recommend it in good faith despite it being incredibly interesting. I really enjoy learning about these topics but there are ~63 readings/films (in addition to the main textbook) required in the syllabus, and around three/four readings due before every class. The organization of the course online is high-key terrible (three or four different areas to look through for the day's readings/nothing in modules; her "assignments" are undated despite being due at specific times, she doesn't change the syllabus to reflect her cancellations/new schedule), and she hasn't graded things from September even though we're taking the (November) midterm). She expects students to only have 3 other classes. Again, she's really into the subject and knows a lot, but the way everything is formatted makes me want to tear my eyes out. Be prepared to rewrite assignments just because the reading had the exact same name as another one of her links. Respect to anybody who isn't bothered by this, but I wish I had taken chem instead. I have lost more sleep trying to play catch-up for this class than my major.
