Terence Long MATH243 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/13/2024	Great professor, funny guy, cool class. I loved the combined diff eq/lin alg as a concept, it really shows you how they interact and keeps the class a little more interesting. Plus you don't have to take two classes. Highly recommend if you're Physics/Engineering. Professor Long can sometimes go a little too fast with his lectures and be hard to follow, but that's what the discussions are for. The combo of both was fine for me and I almost never went to the Monday lecture. His exams are reasonable and the practice exams give you a great idea of what concepts will be on the real exam so studying for them is pretty easy. He doesn't do homework so you do have to actually go to class but he does have recommended practice problems if you want them. Not having busywork/homework was very nice though. Overall a really enjoyable class.
Terence Long MATH243 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/06/2024	Very fair tests. Releases practice exams which are the same format as exams. Overall class is not hard. Not good lecturer or teacher. TA basically would re-explain lecturer content every time. Didn't give us practice HW in textbook until the end of the semester. So basically had no practice. Gave up on going to lectures.
